A solid oral-care bar with iodine.
Most toothpaste leaves a film behind — that faintly coated feeling that lingers after you rinse. This bar doesn't. It cleans your whole mouth and rinses away to a genuinely clean feel. You notice it the first time, and tend to prefer it ever after.
Wet your toothbrush, swipe it once or twice across the bar, brush as usual. It foams modestly, tastes clean and lightly sweet, and rinses away beautifully. Give it a few days; most people don't go back.
The bar format already won in shampoo and soap — simpler, longer-lasting, better for travel. Oral care is the next, obvious step. Here's what that gets you.
A dense bar gives up only a thin swipe per use, so one bar outlasts several tubes of paste.
A toothpaste tube is mixed plastic and metal that recycling streams reject. A bar removes it entirely — no tube, no mixed-material waste.
A gentle syndet cleansing bar with antimicrobial iodine — pleasant on teeth, gums, and lips, with the dose capped by design.
A solid bar — no liquid limits, no leaks, no cap left open in your bag. Just drop it in and go.
Sweetened with thaumatin, a natural protein sweetener — clean sweetness, no sugary masking, no synthetic sweetener.
Rinses away to a fresh, genuinely clean mouthfeel — none of the lingering film most toothpaste leaves behind.
For those who prefer to avoid fluoride in their dentifrice and want a clean, pleasant, low-waste alternative — sweetened only with a natural protein, never a synthetic. This bar is not a fluoride caries treatment, and we don't claim it to be.
Unlike a tube of toothpaste — which never explains the biochemistry of its fluoride — we show exactly what our iodine does and how little of it you actually absorb. This figure didn't come from a marketing estimate. It came off a scale.
| What we measured | Amount | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 20 firm brush-scrapes | = 1.0 g of bar | So one scrape ≈ 50 mg |
| Normal use = two passes | ≈ 0.1 g of bar | The real per-brushing amount |
| Iodine on the brush (0.1 g × 0.59 mg/g) | ≈ 59 µg | Less than half a day's dietary need |
| Absorbed per use (~20% uptake) | ≈ 12 µg | A trace amount |
| Absorbed per day (twice daily) | ≈ 24 µg | Well under the 150 µg daily RDA |
A note on “0.59 mg/g”: PVP-I 10% carries about 1% available iodine — the common error is reading ‘10%’ as 10% iodine, when it is 10% of 10% — or about 10 mg per mL of solution. The bar is loaded at 75 mL of 10% PVP-I per 1,200 g base.
If you have Hashimoto's, Graves', thyroid nodules, a history of thyroid dysfunction, or take thyroid medication, talk with your physician before regular use. Iodine from any source can affect a susceptible thyroid; the dose here is small, but it is daily, and daily is easily overlooked.
Most oral-care products containing iodine never mention this. We lead with it because the people behind this bar work in iodine–thyroid science, and an honest disclosure is how trust is earned. A clinician who sees us flag the thyroid question unprompted can trust the rest of what we say.
